Youβll start by replicating the classic fixed-camera look that made Resident Evil iconic. Then move into the core systems: a grid-based inventory with stacking, a storage box that persists between levels, and a weapon system that supports pistols, revolvers, and shotguns. Each weapon has its own reload animation using Layered Blend per Bone. The enemy AI is driven by simple behavior trees β zombies detect the player, bite, and react to damage. Youβll also build a healing system, a puzzle to open a lock with a code, and a save system that uses a typewriter and a Game Instance.
