📝 Description
This isn’t a quick overview — it’s a full production run. Vadim takes you through every step of building a Victorian costume that’s ready for games. You’ll start in Marvelous Designer, where you’ll learn how to create realistic cloth patterns and simulate natural folds. From there, you’ll take that simulated mesh into Maya and retopologize it into clean quad topology that actually works for animation and game engines.
The modeling continues with belts, accessories,, and even a lamp prop. Each piece gets the same attention: proper edge flow, clean geometry, and logical construction. Then it’s into ZBrush for high-poly sculpting, where you’ll add the fine details that make the costume feel lived-in and authentic.
The second half of the course focuses on the technical pipeline. You’ll UV unwrap everything, bake your high-poly details onto the game mesh, and then texture the full costume in Substance Painter. The module covers rendering in Marmoset Toolbag 5, where you’ll set up lighting and materials to present your work like a professional portfolio piece.
Every project file is included — the Marvelous project, Maya scene, ZBrush project, Substance Painter file, Marmoset scene, and the final FBX mesh. You can follow along exactly or jump straight to the stage you need.
