📝 Description
This is not a button-by-button copy of the movie. It is a production-style rebuild. You start with what real FX artists start with: references. Irene shows how she picks them apart, what to look for in scale, motion, and timing, and then how to get your maps and assets into Houdini without scale or orientation headaches.
From there it gets into the meat. You will set up Pyro for big, slow-moving destruction smoke and punchy explosions, and learn how to keep sim times sane while still getting that heavy blockbuster look. Then it is Ocean tools for the water side of the shot — displacement, interaction, and how to layer sims so fire and water actually sit in the same world.
To finish, everything goes to Nuke. No fancy one-click grade. You will stack your render passes, fix edges, match black levels, add atmosphere, and push the comp until the CG stops looking like CG. Short, practical, and focused on decisions you will reuse on any film-style shot.
