4 sessions on portrait painting One of the most popular genres of painting is portraiture. The portrait artist has always been and will always be in demand, from the inception of art to the present moment.

However, to become a skilled portrait artist, one must undergo extensive training—from the basics of anatomy to working with color and tone.

We have prepared a comprehensive course that gathers all the necessary information for you to start working confidently in the portrait genre. We will not only teach you how to paint portraits but also explain why it is essential to paint them in a certain way. In this course, we will begin with the fundamentals of working with tone and forms, and conclude with portraits created by you based on your ideas.

The course is presented in a convenient format with feedback. Here’s how it works: the course consists of 7 modules, accessible in your personal account immediately after purchasing the course. Each lesson comes with a homework assignment. You complete the assignment and submit it for evaluation. The instructor reviews your work, points out deficiencies, and provides guidance on areas that need improvement. Questions can be asked in response to each review. Every student’s work is individually critiqued!

It is also possible to choose a format without feedback: in this case, you can simply go through the course, relying on the analyzed works of your colleagues from previous groups—recordings are available in your personal account.

Throughout the course, there is a final project—a capstone assignment. You choose your own painting (or photograph) that you want to paint, and you work on it progressively throughout the course. The course concludes with the completion of this final project.
