  1. I’m writing to bring to your attention a potential security concern regarding the Maya scenes shared in a recent file. It has come to my notice that these scenes may contain a Python script called “vaccine” or something similar.

One member reported experiencing issues, including receiving unusual Chinese Maya messages, after using these scenes. While it’s not confirmed that this script is the cause, it’s crucial to exercise caution to ensure the safety of your system.

To safeguard yourself and your workspace, I highly recommend the following precautions:

Install Maya Security Tools: Ensure you have security tools installed specifically designed for Maya. These tools can help detect and neutralize potential threats.

Inspect Scene Files: Before using any shared Maya scenes, carefully inspect the files for any unusual scripts or elements. If in doubt, consider reaching out to the community for assistance.

Exercise Caution: Until the situation is clarified, it’s advisable to approach these files with caution. If possible, temporarily avoid using them until more information is available.

    • I believe it’s some malware script put into the scene file. Kaspersky said that it disinfected the scene file for me but I did not check it. Just delete the scene files and make your own, and import the rabbit model into there instead.
