Still Life Phase II

/

Release date:2020

Author:Jeff Watts

Skill level:Beginner

Language:English

Exercise files:Yes

You are now ready to study some of the key patinas you will need to paint in your artistic career. In this phase Jeff Watts has selected five of the patinas he has had the most calling to do in his career, as well as ones that were the most challenging. Watch in the following video lessons as Jeff explores glass, silver, hammered copper, wood, and china.

After completing these exercises you will move onto florals. Again, the five chosen flowers each present quite a unique petal structure. You will be able to extrapolate other flowers by reflecting on these five. We will again be using the “Zorn” palette. If this is your first introduction to still life make sure you watch the “How to mix the Zorn Palette” tutorial video. Remember, all of these phases will use elements of the previous phase, so try to refrain from jumping around too much.

  1. Nice, thank you for this still life course, it’s cool to see there are more Watts Atelier Courses on here now!

Just for your information I think there’s been a bit of a mishap. The videos from “02. One Object Burnt Umber Pickout Part I” all the way to the first “materials.7z” are all from the first still life phase and not the second. Kinda confused me a bit at first but other than those videos in between 01 and 02 of the second phase it’s all there. Thank you again!

    • Yes please uploader, can you help us with the missing videos? It will mean so much to me. Thank you sooo much for all the stuff.
