In relation to this, I discovered that characters can be revealed and stories can be told through their professions. The author specifically chose unique and unconventional professions such as a lighthouse keeper, an animal trainer in a circus, a singer and musicians, ballerinas, painters, a museum keeper, and a cotton candy seller. The challenge is to portray these professions in an interesting, unconventional, and captivating manner.

In illustration, the value lies not in the technique employed, but in the ability to effectively communicate the intended message. The picture should be akin to a gripping storyline, complete with twists and turns and secrets hidden in the surrounding space.

My objective is to assist students in cultivating their ability to envision and create engaging and vibrant narratives. I firmly believe that creativity is paramount to entertainment, and that the transfer of skills in anatomy and drawing is of utmost importance.

This course will provide you with the opportunity to:

• Master the fundamental principles of storytelling through drawing.
• Gain an understanding of unique and captivating ways to present plotlines.
• Learn to draw characters in various techniques and styles.
• Develop skills in creating dynamic backgrounds and incorporating intricate details to enhance your drawings.
• Learn how to effectively convey a character’s personality through their physicality, movements, and emotions.
• Create seven final works as part of the course assignments.
• Produce an independent piece to showcase your newly acquired skills.
