Discover the keys to turn your Instagram account into a professional and artistic profile
An editor or art director, needs only a few seconds in the Instagram profile of any illustrator, to get an idea of his work. Only if you generate enough curiosity, you will investigate a little more. If you are an illustrator, using IG as a support to showcase your work and portfolio is decisive to attract more clients, as stated by Sandra López, Founding Director of Pencil, the first illustrator agency in Spain that currently represents about thirty artists like David de las Heras or Elena Odriozola.

If in the course Keys to create a portfolio of professional illustration already learned the main thing to present your work to clients, in this course you will learn to take the keys of your portfolio to Instagram, knowing a battery of ideas that will serve as a road map to plan a strategy from scratch, or straighten the one you already have , to project and sell your work better.

About this course
You will meet Sandra López, who will introduce her Pencil illustrators agency and tell you about her extensive experience designing and analyzing portfolios of artists and illustrators; always in search of finding the best way to present his artistic work and showing what a client wants to see. Then, you will review with Sandra some Instagram profiles of illustrators that will serve as a reference for the good use of the tool.

You will see what makes Instagram the perfect tool to show your work. In the front row, different art directors and publishers will tell you about what they expect to see when they search and how.

The first thing you will do is analyze your work and your person to define a strategy that will accompany you throughout the process on how to project yourself, to whom, why and what you want to convey with your message. That is, you will find your goal.

Then, you will create your Instagram profile, configuring the basic options – if you haven’t done it before – and define a biography that will be your business card. Next, you will know all the types of content that you can show in your profile to give it a professional approach, and you will learn to use two tools (apps) that will facilitate this process.

You will learn to write the contents that will accompany your images, seeing each of the approaches you can give, the proper use of hashtags to increase the visibility of your publications and as a consequence, the number of your followers.

As an integral vision of your Instagram profile, Sandra will tell you about where the Instagram key is and how you should work it with foresight and little by little to achieve a harmony in your mosaic.

Then, you will learn to take advantage of Instagram Stories to publish other content that is not very aligned with your feed but that can help strengthen your personal brand and connect more closely with your audience.

Finally, you will learn to analyze the statistics offered by IG, and Sandra will give you some tips to connect with your audience and boost your illustration portfolio like a professional.

At all times, Sandra will work on the profile of a renowned illustrator (Juan Palomino) and you will see the process in situ , from an empty account to a true portfolio of illustration and reflection of a great professional.
