- Model a stylized 3D head from base mesh to final shape
- Sculpt facial details like eyebrows, lashes and asymmetry

๐ Description
This is not a button-pushing tutorial. Jonas starts with a sketch and a feeling, then shows how to translate that into a workable 3D portrait in Cinema 4D. You get his full process for blocking out the head, pushing proportions until it looks interesting, and adding small human touches that sell character.
Then comes movement. You will learn facial rigging basics without getting lost in technical hell โ just enough joints and deformers to get blinks, tilts and that creepy-good subtle drift. Jonas keeps it practical: what moves, how much, and when to stop so it still feels like art, not a rig test.
Look is half the job. You will paint your own textures in Photoshop, break up perfect CG skin, and plug everything into OctaneRender. Add to that simple but effective lighting and camera work, and suddenly your weird head looks gallery-ready. To wrap, you take it into After Effects for grain, grade and loop, then export a clean clip you can actually post.

๐งโ๐ซ About the Author
Jonas Pfeiffer is a motion designer and 3D artist based in Hamburg. He started in broader design fields and stuck with what hit hardest: video and 3D as tools to trigger emotion. His work mixes clean Cinema 4D workflows with painterly texture and offbeat character ideas, often built for loops, socials and experimental drops.
๐ Final Result
- A finished abstract 3D portrait animation with custom textures, subtle facial motion, lit and rendered in OctaneRender and polished in After Effects โ ready for portfolio, Instagram or NFT platforms.
