Watercolor Abstract Portrait Painting

Hello there! I’m doing well, thank you. I’m excited to share this watercolor painting class with you!

In this class, I’ll guide you through creating a beautiful watercolor painting that combines a portrait and an abstract background. From the beginning, I’ll show you the materials I used, and we’ll go step by step until we reach the final result.

This painting is designed to be simple and suitable for all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, you can follow along easily. I’ve used one of my photos from a photo shoot as a reference for this painting, but you can use any image you like to achieve a similar effect. Blending the subject’s hair with the abstract background is critical to creating a captivating composition.

For this project, you’ll need waterproof black India ink, watercolor wash, a cold press paper, technical pens, and 2-3 brushes. Once your materials are ready, we can dive into the painting process.
