Learn from scratch to design an app for iOS and Android like a professional
A successful application must solve a problem in a simple and friendly way, and design is key to achieving it. In this five-course Domestika Basics, you will learn from scratch how to use Adobe XD, the software for prototype design of Adobe CC website and application interfaces, to design an app like a professional. From the hand of the graphic designer specialized in web design and Adobe Certified Instructor Arturo Servín, you will know everything you need to master the program without previous knowledge.
The first thing you will do is understand the workflow of a document in Adobe XD, know the different modules of its interface, how to use the properties window and the work tables, and then create your first document in this software t start structuring The design of your application.
You will learn to use the tools to sort, align and distribute items within the work tables. You will create simple ways to turn them into icons that you will integrate into your application and see how you can develop and integrate typographic styles.
Then you will create the application interface. You will see how to import images and work with symbols in your project. Then you will know the Grid tool to optimize processes, and Arturo will explain how to integrate your user interface for iOS and Android.
You will continue your learning, this time focused on something fundamental: the organization. You will discover the utility of working with smart guides and learn how to use the layer panel properly. Next, you will see how to work with folders and, also, how to fix items within the application. Then, you will see the advantages of working with an Adobe CC library.
To end this Adobe XD Domestika Basics, you will create an interactive prototype of your application. Arturo will explain the importance of the initial screen and, once you have built all the screens of the application, it will teach you how to link the sections, as well as how to edit and correct the links. You will see different preview options, to finally know the different ways to share your prototype and receive comments.
