About the final project for: Creative Drawing Techniques for Beginners
FROM BEGINNER TO SUPERDRAWING
“For the final project, we will scan our drawings and publish them on an Instagram account that we will create exclusively for them, without mixing it with personal photos. We will photograph or scan our notebook appropriately, trying to obtain attractive and balanced images illuminated with natural light without filters if we do not have lighting equipment. Don’t retouch the photos or the scans too much, only to enhance the drawings. It may help to increase the contrast somewhat or increase the intensity of the blacks. If you are going to scan, it is preferable to do it with a good resolution, a minimum of 300, and then reduce it with a retouching program. In any case, the resulting image should be in RGB mode and its longest side should measure 2480 pixels if possible, so that it looks good on larger devices, and never less than 1200 pixels. Create your Instagram account. Choose a name and an avatar. It is better to publish in moderation. At most, one image per day. Remember that most people view it on their mobile phones, so try to choose clear and uncomplicated images. According to experts, the best time to post on Instagram is from Monday to Friday between 5 PM and 6 PM, especially on Thursdays. To open your account you can upload several drawings at once, for example, five or six. Do not despair if you do not have many followers soon, becoming known in the global community of illustrators can be a slow process, but you can post your Instagram account in the forum for the rest of the students to follow you, creating a network of illustrators stemming from this course. As a final project of the course publishes your drawings with the final result and the steps that led you to each one of them. It would be great if you could show an image of each step and add a brief explanation of what you have done in each one. Also, if you feel like it, show us your progress through Instagram with photos and the hashtag #PuñoDomestika for many Domestika users to follow you. Make yourself known to the world. Remember that I’m in the forum if you have any doubts or questions. I hope you enjoyed the course and that it really helped you to become a super-illustrator. Regards! ”

“We’ve reached the end of the course We’ll go over what we’ve done to date. First I explained how drawing is an altered state of consciousness. Also why I looked for an alternative to the traditional academic methods to learn how to draw. And what notebooks and materials were ideal for the course. Then we saw some basic composition guidelines, what visual weight is and the action of geometric lines and shapes on the plane, as well as the principle of perspective. We also looked at the importance of proportions when drawing. And how to apply shadows to create a sense of depth. We also did our…”
