We offer a range of workshops from advanced beginner to expert level. If you’re an animation “newbie” who’s ready to kick-start your animation skill-set, or if you’re a seasoned animator looking to polish up your reel – we have the workshop for you.
Within our workshops, we emulate the kind of interaction professional animators receive when showing their work to directors and supervisors. We thrive on a nurturing group dynamic. This kind of hands-on critiquing is the most effective way of getting your reel to a competitive level.

1. Beginner Workshop Lectures
At this point, you have a grasp of Maya and Twelve Principles of Animation. In this workshop, you’ll collaborate with your coach by brainstorming ideas and goals. The goal is to get you really good at animating simple pantomime performances!

2. Intermediate Workshop Lectures
The goal with this workshop is to introduce simple acting and body mechanics. We at Animsquad want to make absolutely sure the workshop is tailored to your needs. We will focus on simple dialog, body language, and appeal.

3. Expert Workshop Lectures
During the 12 week workshop we will tackle dialogue shots. At the start of the term the coach and you will establish expectations and goals. We will focus on strong, clear acting performances. The coach will show you how to focus on the essence of the emotion and dialogue, how to avoid over-acting, and unappealing performances. This is the best hands-on experience you can get!
