Dragon Watchers – Epic Painting Illustration Walkthrough by Deiv Calviz (David Villegas)

In this tutorial, I will guide you through the process of creating an epic high fantasy scene featuring warriors, dragons, and a giant castle city. You will learn useful techniques such as creating a 3D block mesh from Maya, photo-bashing, various ways to add texture, and many other painting tips. However, this walkthrough will only focus on the thought process and 2D workflow, as it is not intended to teach 3D. The included PSD file will also hopefully give you a better understanding of how all the elements came together.
