This course is designed like a coloring book: you’ll have access to pre-made, professional 3D models that we will texture together.

There are no timelapses in the course. Every action and keyboard shortcut is explained and narrated in real-time for clarity.

Along with the 3D models, you’ll get access to my Substance Painter files, so you can refer to them anytime.

We’ll begin by learning the program’s interface, navigation, essential tools, and working with layers.

Next, we’ll dive into texturing the prepared models, exploring a variety of interesting techniques and approaches. You’ll create textures for:

  • Crystals in a cartoon style.
  • A figurine from the movie Spirited Away in Ghibli style.
  • An ammunition box in a realistic-cartoon hybrid style.
  • A glass jar in a realistic style.
  • Hyper-realistic human skin.
  • A goblin character in a cartoon style.

We’ll also learn how to export textures and import them into Blender and Maya, with two separate videos dedicated to this process.

You will discover how to bake deformation maps and control textures.

We’ll cover complex object baking involving separate meshes and learn baking techniques using a “Cage” object.

Additionally, we’ll use the Iray render engine to quickly create portfolio images and go through all its settings.

You’ll also explore smart materials creation and various texturing methods.

By the end of this course, I’m confident you’ll achieve mastery in Substance Painter. I look forward to seeing you in the course and the comments section!
