Although Héctor Campoy – better known as Héctor Merienda – is a graphic designer, his Instagram profile has been transmitting good sensations through photography for almost a decade. What began as a personal visual diary, has ended up becoming a platform that uses to show his personal vision of the brands he works for, among which are Wetransfer, Sony, Olympus or Jaguar.

Hector is passionate about color, shapes and textures, something that he constantly reflects in his photographs; and through his studied compositions, he shows us the world with a filter of ease and vitality that has hooked hundreds of thousands of followers. In this course, you will learn how to make flat-lay style and lifestyle photographs with a model so that your images are the best on Instagram. You will create clean and effective compositions that go far beyond simple photography, using only your mobile phone

What will you learn in this online course?
You will start knowing the work of Hector, who will tell you about his passions and what and who inspire him.

Then, he will give you some lessons to get started in the mobile photography for Instagram and he will explain the brainstorm process that will help you to land the visual idea more in keeping with the type of photography you want to make.

You will know the importance of the materials, which will share prominence with the main object of the image, when making this type of photographs and Hector will give you some tips to select them.

Once you have made all the necessary decisions, you will begin to take photos. First you will create the composition and you will make your flat-lay or product photograph.

Then, for the taking of lifestyle photography, you will need to perform a location search. Héctor will tell you some tricks to find the ideal place and how to direct your model so that the image is perfect.

When you have your photographs, you will go through the retouching phase, which you will also carry out with your smartphone. Using different applications you will eliminate small imperfections and make some color and lighting adjustments.

Later, you will publish the images in your feed and Hector will give you some tips to maintain a relationship with your community of followers.
