Issunboshi VS Oni From Sketches to Final Painting by Ryan Lang

/

Release date:2019

Author:RyanLangDraws

Skill level:Beginner

Language:English

Exercise files:Yes

In this set of 3 videos, I cover each of the stages I go through when making a visual development piece for animation. First I go over my initial thumbnailing process for picking a composition that supports the story point, and refining the thumbnails for presentation. In the second video, I focus on color roughs, working out mood, lighting, and atmosphere. Lastly, I take one of the color roughs, and take it to a final presentation painting.

Included are:
– A quick intro video
– 3 videos covering each of the stages. Total runtime is 180 minutes.
– Preview JPEG images of each stage (3 total)
– Layered PSDs of the working files (3 total)
