The world of illustrator and creator, Ivan Mayorquín, moves around drawing, comics, design, creativity and humor. Mayorquín is a founding member of Pictoline, has been part of Buque, Sketch or Die or Pizza Sandwich, and has worked for brands such as Sprite, Absolut, Snickers, GQ, Vice, Noisey, Los Angeles Blues, Netflix and Emperador.

In this course, Ivan will teach you the power of visual sequential narrative or, in other words, how comics work and what are the keys to developing a story with a solid ending, yawning and boredom proof.

To begin, you will get to know Iván’s work, his influences in the world of comics, the most important projects in which he has participated and his favorite comic strips.
You will learn the concept of sequential narrative and how to use it to tell a story: from the basics of storytelling to the visual language of comics.
You will understand how comics work on the internet and, the importance of the key element to tell a story with drawings today: the insight. From there, you will begin to draw your own comic strip.
Finally, Mayorquín will give you tips to make your comic look great online and become a success among your followers.

Requirements and materials
Basic drawing knowledge is necessary and you should know how to use, at least in a basic way, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
