Learn to create fantastic scenes through manipulation of digital images with Photoshop
One of the great advantages of photomontage is that it allows you to create incredible images whose only limit is your imagination. The designer and art director Ricardo Salamanca puts to the test the possibilities of this means of creation in each of his works, creating fantastic images for advertising campaigns that have earned him several awards at international festivals – such as the bronze in Cannes or the Grand Prix from San Sebastian, New York and London- and they have opened the doors to collaborate with clients such as WWF, Gandhi Bookstores, Amnesty International or Playstation.

In this course you will learn to create and edit images using visual language. Through the technique of photomontage you will erase the limits of communication, art and design creating amazing images that will help open people’s minds.

About this course
You will begin by getting to know more about the work of Ricardo Salamanca, who will tell you about his most outstanding projects and his references within the sector.

You will learn key concepts of visual communication and discover the importance of the environment and the details of the images to give realism to the compositions.

You will plan the initial composition of your image, select the photographs you want to use in photomontage and make your first sketch.

Once you have the photomontage done, you will apply color, texture, lighting and perspective corrections.

Finally, you will create a background in accordance with the image that you have just created, so that the scene is more credible, and you will apply the final touches.

What is this course’s project?
You will create a fictitious and incredible image from other images using the photomontage techniques that you will learn during the course.

What you need
It is advisable to have basic design knowledge.

With regard to the materials you will need: drawing material for sketching, a computer with Adobe Photoshop and access to digital images with which to create your compositions.
