Clothing Design with Cinema 4D & Marvelous [ENG Subtitles]

Learn to use tools to design, animate and render stylish 3D clothing
Textile elements and their folds, textures and small details can be one of the biggest challenges in the career of a 3D designer. Marvelous Designer was born with the objective of facilitating this task of providing designers with the best tool to create 3D clothes in a simple and intuitive way, with a level of realism never seen before.

In this Domestika course you will learn to design, animate and render the full dress of a character by Bernat Casasnovas, a generalist 3D designer with more than ten years of experience who has worked for clients such as Google, Nickelodeon, YouTube and Snapchat

You will begin by knowing more about Bernat’s work, who will tell you about his inspiration when creating characters and clothes.

You will enter the software in question, Marvelous Designer, you will take a tour of its interface and learn to use the main tools it offers. In addition, you will learn to import and export your 3D models to Marvelous Designer and Cinema 4D.

You will do a search for references, you will make a mood board before tracing the clothes with Marvelous Designer and you will create different fabrics and garments in detail.

You will see how to export the clothes and the character to Cinema 4D to add details such as materials and lights.

Finally, you will make an render with Octane or the rendering engine of your choice and give the last touches with Adobe After Effects.

What is this course’s project?
You will dress from head to toe, an animated character with Marvelous Designer. In addition, you will perform the process of lighting, texturing, rendering and color retouching with Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects.
