Creating unique and captivating characters is no easy feat, but with the “Characters in My Hand” class, you’ll learn how to do just that. This class is not just about drawing your own pictures, but rather it’s an opportunity to develop your own characters, master painting techniques, and set yourself on a path to becoming a more independent artist.
While this class may require more time spent on thinking and planning, the effort put in will ultimately save time and lead to even better results. This class is perfect for those who struggle with creating characters, those who want to add more charm to their existing characters, those looking to improve the quality of their characters, and those who want to create beautiful merchandise featuring their characters.
Throughout the class, I’ll share all of my tips, tricks, and experiences related to character design. This includes what I’ve learned from my own successes and failures, as well as all of the know-how I’ve accumulated over the years. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, you’ll be sure to take away valuable insights from this class.
Beginning of implementation, character design
Character design can be a daunting task, especially when staring at a blank canvas. But with the right approach, creating unique and captivating characters can be an enjoyable process. In this post, I’ll be guiding you through the process of building up ideas, starting with things you like, discovering themes, and ultimately planning and drawing your own characters.
First, let’s begin by creating a variety of characters by experimenting with different features and basic body shapes. This will give you a chance to find your own unique style and voice as an artist.
Once you have a rough idea of your character, it’s important to consider the color scheme. The right colors can bring a character to life and give it a distinct feel. I’ll be sharing some tried and true color schemes, as well as some less conventional but still effective options, to help you add that extra touch of charm to your characters.
Skills to improve the completeness of my paintings
Drawing the human body can be a daunting task, especially when you’re trying to create characters quickly. However, in this class, I’ll be teaching you how to use human body modeling as a tool to quickly sketch out the whole body and express your desired character. We’ll also cover different croquis poses to make the process more fun and to help you create better character illustrations.
Before adding color, I’ll also show you how to draw detailed line drawings that will enhance the overall quality of your illustration. Even if you’re not skilled in using pen pressure, don’t worry as we’ll be using digital tools to achieve the same results.
In addition to characters, this class will also cover drawing useful objects that can be used as ambient decorations, background elements, or costume patterns. You’ll learn how to design unique objects that will make your characters stand out and add an extra layer of detail to your illustrations.
Are you tired of feeling constrained by one particular drawing style? I’ll also be sharing various layout techniques that will help you improve the overall composition of your illustrations and break out of any habitual patterns you may have.
My character comes alive in three dimensions
In this class, we’ll take your character illustrations to the next level by turning them into unique goods that you can show off to your friends and participate in related events with. By making your paintings into tangible items, you’ll add an extra layer of specialness to your everyday life and make your artwork even more fun to share.
Before we dive into creating merchandise, I’ll teach you how to edit your illustrations to make them stand out and what to pay attention to when printing.
Character design is the beginning of all content
Character design is the foundation of all content creation. Characters are used in comics, anime, webtoons, video games, and a variety of products such as toy and stationery brand mascots. While this class focuses on creating characters for personal use, the skills you learn can be applied to becoming an illustrator, game artist, designer, or manga artist.
This class can be a fun hobby or a step towards achieving a dream career in illustration, game art, design, or manga.
