📝 Description
Most beginners try to write from page one. Kio Nachi does the opposite. He treats the plot as the blueprint and the heart of the light novel — if that breaks, the whole book falls over later. So this course stays in pre-writing on purpose.
You start simple: what counts as a story, why three-act structure and kishōtenketsu still matter, and what happens if you skip the plot entirely. Then you get practical about input. Not just “read a lot,” but how to research, how to file scraps, how to replace and combine ideas, and how to study prize winners in your target label without copying them.
The middle is where it gets hands-on. You’ll fill out a real character sheet and a worldbuilding sheet, then squeeze that down into a short synopsis. No fluff, just what the story wants to do. From there you build events that actually change people — one event, multiple effects — and you learn to use betrayal, setup and payoff, and emotional give-and-take to keep pages turning.
And yeah, he talks about the ugly part too. Saggy middle. Cute on paper but flat in story. “I don’t know why, but it’s boring.” You get checklists for the opening, climax, main cast, and ending, plus small revision moves like scene swaps, foreshadowing cleanup, and re-reading the plot like you’re blocking a scene. Short sentences, real examples, zero theory for theory’s sake.
🧑🎓 Who this course is for

- Hobby writers and game / scenario folks who want a repeatable method for characters, settings, and plots
🧑🏫 About the Author
Kio Nachi is a working light novel author and former graphic designer who studied film at Osaka University of Arts. He started in PC games and scenario writing, then broke out with Bokutachi no Remake, which ranked in Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! and grew into a full TV anime and media mix.
His credits are wide: Bokutachi no Remake (all 12 volumes + spinoffs), planning and scenario for Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm and Grisaia no Kajitsu, series composition for the Bokutachi no Remake anime, and main quest scenario for Kirara Fantasia. He teaches from that cross-media background — games, anime, novels — not just one hit book.
