The Great Media Server Revival
(a.k.a. I Finally Fixed the Seek – ‘Fast Forward’ & ‘Rewind’!)
Good news, guys — the media servers have officially survived their latest surgery! After days (okay, weeks okay, okay!!!, months) of software updates, patches, tears, and caffeine, I can proudly say: it all works… probably.
We’ve made the mediafile portal smoother and more reliable for everyone. You can now protect shared links with passwords, set expiry dates. File management is easier with multi-select, quick zip downloads, and better folder copying options. The new browser extension helps you find, copy, and download your files directly from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Opera. We’ve also improved upload speed, preview quality, and performance across all devices. Everything should just feel a bit faster and more comfortable to use. We now have a faster file manager, smoother video playback, and even speedier downloads. Basically, if our site were a car, it just got a turbo upgrade.
The Legendary ‘Seek’ Option Returns
Remember that ancient bug that refused to die for almost a year? The one where you couldn’t FF or RW (seek) videos using the playback progress bar? Yeah, that one. Well, grab your popcorn — it’s finally fixed!
Turns out, the reason it lived so long was that our code was using an ancient dialect of PHP that modern technology had already forgotten. Combine that with our wild server zoo (each one with its own personality disorder), and you get a recipe for chaos. But miracles happen: after one and a half months of debugging and existential questioning, I tamed the beast.
Now, please do me a solid — hop on the site, test the playback in geneneral and seek feature in the player, and let me know if it works for you. If it doesn’t, drop a comment here or ping me on Telegram. I’ll cry a little and then fix it.
Coming Soon: Subtitles in All the Languages
Next up on the list: automatic (almost: by request) subtitles in multiple languages for all media files. First in line: Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese (Brazil), Vietnamese, and Indonesian. Then maybe German, French, Arabic, and — just maybe — Russian (because why not?). I’m also adding AI-generated voiceovers.

Epilogue: The Return of the Dev
And yes, as a shocking plot twist to this whole saga — I’m back! ))
You can relax now. More content coming soon. Life is good.
