The Classic Furniture video tutorial series is designed to provide you with all the building blocks necessary to successfully model and map classic furniture using 3Ds MAX.

This is the first video in the series – SHAPE. If all goes well, I will continue the series with the ORNAMENT and UPHOLSTERY videos pretty soon. By the end, you will know everything you need to about modeling classic furniture with 3Ds Max.

In this tutorial, I will focus on the techniques needed to create and modify the basic elements for classic furniture – Frames, Panels, Moldings, Turned objects, Cabriole legs, and the curved shape of a Bombe chest.
