This course will teach you how to create a cartoon-style character model in Blender with separate parts for facial features, clothing, armor, and weapons. We’ll also cover bone setup and rigging for animation. Additionally, we’ll use a grayscale color atlas material to create colored materials within Unity. We’ll set up the Animator state machine and learn how to change animation clips on demand. We’ll download clips from Mixamo’s website to get started.

By the end of this course, you will have the skills to create low-poly, flat-shaded characters and enemies in Blender and Unity, and you’ll be able to swap animations easily. This course is for anyone interested in character modeling and animation, particularly those who want to learn how to create cartoon-style characters as shown in the course preview videos. If you’re interested in learning these skills, welcome aboard! I look forward to seeing you in the next lecture.
