About This Class

Greetings everyone! My name is Zerina and in this Blender course, we’ll be creating an exciting space scene.

To begin, we’ll import the reference images for the astronaut which can be downloaded from the provided link. Using these reference images, we’ll start modeling the astronaut piece by piece using basic shapes and modifiers. Once we’ve finished modeling the astronaut with all the necessary details, we’ll apply basic materials to it.

After applying the materials, we’ll duplicate the astronaut and separate the two characters by collection. We’ll then pose them so that one astronaut is sitting while the other reaches for the light bulb, which we’ll add next.

Once the characters are posed, we’ll create the landscape for the scene. This involves adding a plane to act as the base, sculpting it to create hills and valleys, and modeling the base for the light bulb. The base will have two concrete pipes poking out, with metal pipes peeking out of the concrete ones as well.

Finally, we’ll explore how to download and use an HDRI image to light our scene. You can choose whichever HDRI you prefer for your project.

This course is mainly aimed at beginners, but advanced 3D artists can also use it for quick practice or inspiration for their own projects. So, let’s not waste any more time – let’s dive into the videos and start creating this epic space scene!
