Everything on working with clients in Motion Design. The entire collaborative process. Brief to delivery. Kit and caboodle. For you to make oodles of boodles.
This course on Motion Graphic Design won’t teach you a single thing about animation. There are no tutorials, no pushing of pixels, or keying of frames.

WHAT IS THIS?
You don’t need another dude showing you how to create oddly satisfying abstract looping 3D art in Cinema 4D. The internet is full of chumps doing that, like this loser.

And that’s fine. Slick animation, shading, and design is important, but it will only get you so far. What you need to know is how to apply those skills in real life, to get and keep real clients.

Production is only a third of any project, and the secret sauce is in the other two thirds.

THE BAD NEWS
At the moment, you can only get it from doing hard time in the industry. But to properly service a client a design role won’t cut it. You need the perspective of a creative director, art director, producer and account director too.

That’s not exactly something you’ll get from daily renders or personal projects. And good luck finding tutorials on it, when even universities charging £50,000+ per degree are too cowardly to touch it.

WHY I SPENT 3000+ HOURS MAKING THIS COURSE
This course is about those missing two thirds; The creative and business part of motion design. That’s the secret sauce that turns a good designer into a great one. It’s what sets their motion apart, and keeps their clients coming back.

That’s why I made The Process of Motion. To help other designers create better work for clients who value and trust them a bit more. Without burning out in the process.

It took me a decade, a lot of effort, mistakes, luck & help to figure out the process. The Process of Motion is guaranteed to get you there a lot quicker.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
In this extreme sport version of an online course I’ll take you through every step of a tight Motion Graphic Design Process. You’ll learn how to turn an email in your inbox to a magnificent motion piece in the portfolio and money in the bank.
In 54 lectures and 19 breakdown videos you will learn how to:
Take the lead on motion design projects of nearly any scale
Break down and respond to briefs
Quote jobs and create proposals for motion design (not the wedding kind)
Overcome cost objections
Project planning & management
Ideate and create concepts (yes, they’re different)
Communicate a clear vision for projects
Create treatments / concept decks / presentations for clients
Do pre-production (styleframes, motion scripts, storyboards, animatics)
Manage production (previs, roughcut and proofs)
Handle and respond to feedback
Collaborate with clients in a way that doesn’t make you hate them or yourself (put an end to endless revisions and shifting goal posts)
Invoice and chase payments (you know how it can be…)
So call me fairy godmother, because I’m gonna transform you from button-pressing Cinderella (lame) to the brief-crushing belle of the ball (not lame).

IS IT FOR YOU?
This course won’t be for everyone. But if you have even the slightest design or animation skills, there are clients out there who desperately need you. And with an ounce oomph this course will have you blowing their minds in no time.
If any of the peeps below sound like you, this course is a perfect fit.
