Sketching and drawing rough and clean final layouts, interiors, buildings and other environment elements for animation and concept art will be covered in this self-study course. There will be demos and lectures on perspective, blocking in scenes and simple composition. Prop design and sketching demos are also included.

The student will learn quick visualization of perspective and elements in a scene, how to build and design buildings and structures, how to visualize and quickly draw interior spaces as well as methods of developing sketches for props and vehicles.

BIO: Craig Elliott has worked primarily in animation for Disney and DreamWorks, designing their animated films such as Hercules, Mulan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Treasure Planet, Shark Tale, Flushed Away, Bee Movie, and Enchanted, Monsters vs. Aliens, and The Princess and the Frog as well as several upcoming features. Craig has also done fully painted comic book and cover artwork for Dark Horse Comics, World of Warcraft Trading cards, editorial illustration for Realms of Fantasy magazine, and more.
