Color, Light and Mood by James Zapata

/

Release date:2021

Author:James Zapata

Skill level:Intermediate

Language:English

Exercise files:Yes

In this video I will talk about one of my approaches to setting up lights and color for a character and how they can effect the mood of an image. You’ll see what is essentially a speed-painting from start to finish all while I explain the process as I work.
***At the beginning of the video I mention having plans for the character to have a sci-fi design. Don’t believe the voice in the video, he’s a liar. I don’t know what happened but my brain switched to a fantasy theme instead 🙂
