Tutorial – Basics of Natural Environments by Tom Newbury (Russian, Eng sub)

/

Release date:2019, February

Duration:03 h 30 m

Author:Tom Newbury

Skill level:Beginner

Language:Russian

Exercise files:Yes

In this tutorial I go over my methods and techniques for creating several environment assets, these include grass, rocks and trees. I then combine all of the assets to generate a basic environment.

Once you have learnt these skills and techniques you can continue to add extra assets and variations to the environment to take it to a higher level of realism.

In this tutorial I primarily use Maya and Redshift, but the techniques I use to create these assets should translate to any package.

This tutorial is made up of 3.5 hours of content across 7 chapters. I will also provide the layout scene and asset scenes, but cannot provide the textures due to copy-write laws. But you can purchase the textures yourself and plug them in.
