Author:Art of Sculpting

Skill level:Beginner

Language:English

Exercise files:Yes

Our hands are wonderfully complex, specific-yet-nuanced forms. Since we all have them, they make a great sculpting exercise to practice these skills: 1. Understanding how the interpretation of light and shadow reveals an object’s form. 2. Gestural strokes to allow for flexible and fast shaping. 3. Learning the importance of macro shape and form as opposed to micro detail. Blender’s capable toolset provides us with the perfect playground for honing our sculpting skills. Dynamic topology gives us an infinite amount of “clay” to work with and the brush system equips us with more than enough shaping tools. This video does assume you have a basic understanding of Blender’s interface and Sculpt Mode.
